I really don't care about 1080p resolutions cause my dell 1905FP can only support a maximum of 720P signal from a ps3.īut i haven't tried it myself because i need someone to help confirm the problems with my solution, cause this will only work in theory due to myself not being fully aware of the problems with it. I think this adapter won't convert the analog signal to a digital one, thereby avoiding the hdcp digital signal problem, it just provides a way to hook up component cables and transfer their analog signal to a monitor just like that x2vga thing or that YPbPr to RGBHV VGA BOX thing.

The reason i think this will work is because when displaying a ps3 using component or composite cables the ps3 uses an analog signal, meaning hdcp capabilities on tvs/monitors aren't required for analog signals therefore this should work fine for someone who has a monitor with a spare dvi input.
